Alcohol has an impact on testosterone levels
An occasional beer, glass of wine, or cocktail won’t send your testosterone levels plunging. In fact, a small amount of alcohol may actually boost levels a bit. Overdoing it, however, is a different story. Consuming five drinks within a two-hour period, for example, whether it’s only occasionally or chronically, can lower testosterone in men and also have a negative impact on fertility.
Excessive drinking also is associated with liver problems, pancreatitis, some cancers, high blood pressure, and psychological disorders.
Moderate alcohol consumption for men is considered to be two drinks daily. That translates into two 12-ounce beers, two 5-ounce glasses of wine, or two 1.5-ounce shots of hard liquor. Your best bet if you want to increase testosterone naturally in the long run? Skip the alcohol altogether
